An eloquent if completely disgusting description, I'm glad it's not lunch time just yet ;)

Hope it gets better soon, I know what a total pain it is to injure your hands in our line of work.

About the inexplicable nausea, I had a similar experience recently when I had a blood test. I figured I'd watch what they did since I'm not squeamish about my own blood (or so I thought) and I was curious. However the fact that I'd jogged to the surgery just before and my blood was therefore quite active, the squirting that resulted when they stuck the big, fat needle in my arm triggered the same hot / blurry eyed experience that I didn't expect at all.
