Homestead

I designed this font in 2019 as an attempt to do a bold italic serif… a tricky combination given the 8x8 limitation.

It came out quite well and is a relaxed kind of formal type that works well for paragraphs of story-driven narrative.

Flick

I do not recall where the inspiration for this one came from nor exactly when it was created, I suspect 2018.

This font is super bold but also has some flourishes and the odd serif. Surprisingly with all that it looks pretty good and is usable for titles and dialog. I would be careful with colors to ensure good contrast especially if aiming for CRT users.

Envious Serif

I created this font in 2018 as a variation of Envious that featured serifs as an attempt to fill some of the extra white-space and provide a complimentary serif for games that wanted to mix the formal and informal.

This font is still quite readable for a serif on-screen font although the vertical can feel quite tight for large blocks of text.

Daddy Cool

I created this font around 2006 for the BASIN package.

The inspiration - and name - come from the bold bubbly fonts of 1970’s disco and album covers.

It works for titles and surprisingly well for large runs of text like adventure games and the world definitely needs more games set in the 70s!
