A 2020 creation for a very bold square oblique font reminiscent of many a computer and games advertisement in the 90s once the 70s magnetic-OCR styles just couldn’t cut it any longer. A very similar typeface adorned the Protovision advert that was the story catalyst in the movie WarGames.
I added two non-oblique versions to compliment this typeface as part of a set - Serif and Regular - however, they are both quite similar to the existing fonts in the collection - Tentacle and Precinct but these versions better align if you want a single smart style. These three styles work well in a variety of scenarios including text, prose, headings, and lists.
Additionally a “Zone” style gives the feeling of a stencil or reflected mountain landscape while “Leak” gives a particle-decay/shaded look. Both are best suited for headings or title screens.
A 2018 creation designed to give a recess or inset feel on the thick stems originally named Recess. In 2020 an angled variant was added and a new name adopted to make it suitable for an addition.
This font works okay for titles and very short runs of text. It also only really works if the text is lighter than the background.
I designed this font in 2019 using BASIN as a tribute to 80s NASA and the typography that adorned the iconic Space Shuttle.
While the shuttles no longer take to the skies their imagery is inspiring to this day.
This typeface works well for both titles and large runs of text although a couple of the more extreme stylization like the A might confuse in some scenarios. Having both a bold and non-bold gives a few extra options.
My first attempt at this - again in BASIN this year (2019) - looked very much like my other sans so I took a second stab this time at a futuristic one and it came out rather well. The name - Conapt - is taken from Condo and Apartment joined together which has been used in various sci-fi movies as their name for compact housing and it has a distinct Blade Runner feel.
I tweaked the font in 2020 to correct some alignment and style issues (r,x,V etc) and added the semi-bold and bold weights.
This font works well for titles and lists as well as long blocks of futuristic prose.
